Leinster Province

History
Leinster is based on the east coast of Ireland which includes the capital, Dublin. It was the first of the Provinces to form, on October 13th 1900. It was very active in setting up the inter Province Competition.

Only five Leinster counties - Wexford, Kilkenny, Dublin, Louth and Kildare,  were affiliated at the start but within twelve months all except Longford and Westmeath had come on board. These two joined up later. There are now twelve counties.

The booklet at left is part of the An Post/GAA Football team of the Millennium. It contains the Leinster players that were picked in the Team of the Millennium. There are 3 stamps of Dublin Player, Kevin Heffernan, 3 stamps of Meath Player, Martin O'Connell and 2 stamps of Laois Player, Tommy Murphy. The back of the booklet contains the All-Ireland Championships won by Leinster Counties.
