Ben Allan

Ben Allan was a Claremont player in the WAFL before moving to Hawthorn in the AFL where he played 98 games and won their Best and Fairest in 1991 as well as a premiership. He was an All Australian Player in 1993 and 1994. In Fremantle he was the Dockers inaugural Captain and has played 145 AFL games in total. His 1997 season was wrecked by injury and he retired. In 2001 he became the caretaker coach after the mid season sacking of Damien Drum.

He was chosen by the Fremantle Football Club as its star on the Fremantle AFL Centenary Maximum Card and Postcard. The maximum card is displayed below. The postcard is essentially the same except that the background is brighter and there is no postmark or stamp. A cover with the outline of the postcard was also released.
