Post First Day Covers
From March 1970 Australia Post issued a
specific First Day cover with each issue. From 1980 these were usually
associated with a national FDI Postmark to complement the issue. This was
sometimes duplicated in Western Australia, a practice which ceased the end of
June 1992. Initially these Complementary Postmarks were only allowed on official
Australia Post Covers, however from October 1987 they could appear on other
covers.

The 2002 Pre-season Wizard home Loans Cup |
The preseason Wizard
home Loans Cup, for the third year, was run as a round robin competition rather
than a Knockout Competition. The two finalist were the 2001 winner, Port Power,
and the Richmond Tigers. On the night the Power was much too good and defeated
the Tigers by a flattering 9 points and saw Port Power win its second trophy
with a victory over the Richmond Tigers. Nick Stevens won the Michael Tuck Medal
for the Best player.
