Stewart Loewe played his first game for Saint Kilda in 1986. He won the Best and Fairest in 1990 and was runner up in 1991, 1992, 1993 and 1996. He won All Australian Selection in 1991 and 1992. He has been the Saints leading goal kicker in 1995 and 1996 after the departure of Tony Lockett to Sydney. He was Co-Captain in 1996, 1997 and 1998. He has played 294* games and kicked 558* goals.

He was chosen by the Saint Kilda Football Club as its star on the Saint Kilda Centenary Maximum Card and Postcard. The maximum card is displayed below. The postcard is essentially the same except that the background is brighter and there is no postmark or stamp. A cover with the outline of the postcard was also released.
